Unity Web Player For Linux using Pipelight

Officially Unity systems simply support developing feasible stand-alone games/3D apps that could subsequently run on Linux. This is accomplished when using the Unity Editor inside Microsoft Windows and OS X operating systems. Unity Technologies fail to provide a Linux model of the Unity Editor, nor the Unity Web Player. Unity Web Player may still be run on Linux devices of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome simply by using Pipelight. "Pipelight is actually a specialized web browser plugin which enables a person to use Windows only plugins within Linux web browser."

Pipelight runs on the patched wine version to deliver a windows atmosphere to the plugins, however you don't need to be concerned about this as Pipelight usually takes good care of setting up, configuring and upgrading all supported plugins. Within the point of the browser such plugins will respond like any other average Linux plugin once you have enabled them.
