Improving Documentation For The Unity 5

UNITY CURRENTLY RECEIVING REQUESTS FROM USERS WHO WANT TO FEEDBACK ON UNITY DOCUMENTATION MORE CONVENIENTLY. THEREFORE UNITY DID AN EXPERIMENT TO FIND OUT THE WAY IT COULD WORK.

To acquire a concept of what type of feedback unity will get through the community, Unity enabled  a “Suggest a Change” feature on the documentation site, right on the page you would like to discuss. The feature was allowed for the entire month of August as well as appeared like this:

Unity got approximately. five hundred recommendations that way. All were the most frequent topics:

  • C# examples and conversion errors (~30%)
  • Suggestions, spelling corrections and open-ended queries on how to improve the docs (~30%)
  • Reports of missing links
  • Feature requests
  • Spam (~10%)
